AUCKLAND — If you’ve ever been to New Zealand, ‘forgettable’ is the last word to describe this gem of a country. But tell that to cartographers who routinely forget to include New Zealand on ***** maps.
It’s true – a growing collection of maps throughout the ***** have accidentally omitted the island from the face of the earth. From the ***** map on Getty’s stock photo library, to Shutterstock and the souvenir globe at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, it seems little old New Zealand is nowhere to be seen!
For a country that’s bigger in land area than the U.K. and more than two-thirds the size of either Japan or Germany, it’s unfathomable that New Zealand has been accidentally missed. In a hilarious new video, Kiwi actor Rhys Darby and Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern try to solve the mystery of the missing country, and implore others to #getNZonthemap.
