Vegas hits a record 42.9M visitors in 2016

********* welcomed record-breaking 42.9 million visitors in 2016

********* — The ‘Entertainment Capital of the *****’ broke records for the third consecutive year, reaching 42.9 million visitors in 2016. The visitor count in 2015 was 42.3 million.

“********* continues to see increased interest in the destination, and we are excited to announce that once again we are celebrating record visitation,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, president/CEO of the ********* Convention and Visitors Authority. “Together with our resort partners, we look forward to aggressively marketing the destination around the ***** to continue attracting more visitors and break the record again this year.”

Breaking the record for convention visits as well, ********* welcomed more than 6.3 million business travellers.

With industry-leading occupancy rates and nearly 150,000 available rooms, tourism generates nearly US$52 billion annually in Southern Nevada and the ********* Valley.

The ********* Convention and Visitors Authority is already projecting it will surpass its current record of 43 million visitors in the coming year.
