Air Canada’s new Montreal-Tel Aviv nonstop service takes flight

More ******** with **********: new service ex Montreal, daily nonstops from Toronto

MONTREAL — ********** is launching seasonal nonstop service between Montreal and ******** this summer as well as increasing its current Toronto-******** nonstop service to daily frequency year-round. Tickets for new Montreal-******** service will be available for sale starting Feb. 15.

********** will offer the most seats and frequencies between Canada and ****** of any ******* in Canada when the new services beginning this summer. The extra flights represent a 28% capacity increase over summer 2016.

“********** is the leader in the Canada-****** market, which we have now served for 22 years. Today we are pleased to step up our capacity in response to the increased demand in business, leisure and cultural travel between both countries,” said ********** President and Chief Executive Calin Rovinescu.

The new service reflects **********’s ongoing international expansion strategy, he added. This month ********** will launch new service to Shanghai from Montreal and next summer’s new routes include Algiers, *********, Reykjavík and Dallas.

Toronto’s current service will increase this summer to daily from six days a week while the new Montreal-******** service will operate twice weekly from June 22 to Oct.16.

The Montreal flight will be operated with a 292-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft with three cabins of service, including **********’s International Business Class cabin, featuring 27 Executive Pods with 180- degree lie-flat seats all configured for direct aisle access. The Premium Economy cabin has 21 seats while the Economy cabin has 244 seats.

Flight AC082 will depart Montreal at 6:35 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays, arriving in ******** the next day at 12:15 p.m. On the return flight AC 083 will depart ******** at 1:55 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays, arriving in Montreal at 6:20 p.m.

In January Air Transat announced direct flights to ****** from Montreal with twice weekly service starting June 18, on A330-300 aircraft. Also available from Toronto with a connection in Montreal, the nonstop flights between Montréal Trudeau airport and David Ben-Gurion will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays until late October. Along with air Transat will also be offering packages, guided tours and hotels.
