MONTREAL — Exactly how many Canadian stereotypes can you throw into a 90-second commercial?
We lost count while watching **********’s latest video, starring award-winning Canadian actor Sandra Oh and launched as part of its new campaign, ‘Travel Like a Canadian.’
The campaign, which marks the *******’s first collaboration with Oh, pokes fun at how Canadians travel and interact with other cultures abroad. While walking through an airport, Oh is seen apologizing to strangers (a widely-regarded ‘Canadian’ trait), playing peacemaker between two fighting siblings by offering them a ready-made poutine, and enjoying Caesars at the bar with a Japanese businessman.
“When you travel with **********, it’s as if you’re travelling like a Canadian,” she says. “No matter where you’re going, whether you’re Canadian or not, travelling like one can bring the ***** a little closer.”
According to **********, there’s plenty more to come from the ‘Travel Like a Canadian’ campaign, including more celebrity partnerships. We can’t wait to see who’s onboard next!
