Ryanair, the Ireland-based budget *******, was granted approval to begin developing transatlantic service between Europe and the United States.
Ryanair plans to start service between European cities and the U.S. starting from as little as $15 for a one-way, as part of an aggressive growth strategy.
Transatlantic service could take up to five years to implement, as Ryanair would need to procure long-haul aircraft, but once in place, the new service could be disruptive to traditional transatlantic carriers.
