Man charged with trespassing at New York’s Kennedy Airport

NEW YORK — ****** say a New Jersey man has been arrested after scaling a fence surrounding New York City’s Kennedy Airport.

Authorities say William Deene (DEEN’) was charged with criminal trespass after an airport worker noticed him scaling the fence around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officials say the 22-year-old man from Perth Amboy, New Jersey, also set off a perimeter alarm in the fenced area separating the public from airport property.

The two fences are about 1 1/2 feet apart on the airport’s west side near an expressway. The ******** interrupted no flights, and isn’t clear why he would have scaled the fence.

It wasn’t immediately known whether Deene had an attorney.
