First sailings for Costa’s new flagship cancelled; ship’s delivery delayed

MIAMI — ***** Cruises has launched a new electronic brochure designed to acquaint travel agents with its highly anticipated flagship, ***** Smeralda, set for delivery in October.

The online catalogue includes deck plans, itineraries, an overview of amenities, as well as insight into the ship’s sustainable use of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Upon launch, ***** Smeralda will be *****’s first cruise ship to be fuelled by LNG, the cleanest fossil fuel in the *****.

“The ***** Smeralda e-brochure gives a vivid and comprehensive look at our new ship, conveniently compiling all of the important details in one place for quick access,” said Scott Knutson, vice president of sales and marketing for ***** Cruise North America. “The brochure not only serves as a useful selling tool for travel advisors, but also gives consumers an opportunity to familiarize themselves with ***** Smeralda ahead of its highly anticipated debut.”

Beginning in ******** 2019, the ship will offer seven-day western Mediterranean cruises until April 2021. The e-brochure features a map of the itinerary, daily schedule with port arrival and departure times, departure dates with flexible embarkation and debarkation ports, and pricing.
