TORONTO — What a good son! Jonathan Quiñonez, a 27-year-old from Brussels, is gaining worldwide fame not for travelling around the *****, but for letting his mom know he’s okay while doing it.
According to Mashable, Quiñonez quit his job, sold his car and ventured out to see the *****. However, after arriving in Cuba, the first stop on his round-the-***** trip, he had a hard time getting in touch with his family.
So the intrepid traveller came up with a genius – and heartwarming – way to let his loved ones back home know of his whereabouts: by starting up an Instagram account and posting photos of himself in new locations, holding up a sign that reads ‘MOM, I’M FINE.’
@momimfine now has 128,000 followers and features Quiñonez on the ocean floor in Colombia, sky diving in Playa del Carmen, stand up paddleboarding in Panama, and salsa dancing in Cuba.
