********* _ The Culinary and Bartenders unions in ********* say they’ve scheduled negotiations that could avert a ****** planned for next month.

Union officials say eight of the nine casinos locked in a labour dispute have agreed to talks before workers are set to walk off the job June 1.

Negotiations have not been scheduled at the Golden Gate casino. But the union plans to discuss a contract with officials at The D, Four Queens, Fremont, Main Street Station, El Cortez, Binion’s, The Plaza, and ********* Club.

Union spokeswoman Bethany Khan says there are 2,000 union employees at the nine casinos. Contracts at the casinos expired June 1, 2013.

The Golden Nugget casino downtown reached a five-year agreement with the union last month.
