********** launches Montreal-San Juan nonstops; carrier’s YUL capacity up 20%

MONTREAL — **********’s new nonstop service between Montreal and San Juan, Puerto Rico offers weekly Saturday flights as part of a seasonal service schedule operating for winter 2016-2017.

Flight AC958 departs Montreal at 8 a.m. and arrives at San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport at 2 p.m. On the return, flight AC959 departs San Juan at 2:45 p.m., arriving back in Montreal at 6:59 p.m.

“This new route from Montreal will make it easier for customers to travel to Puerto Rico from eastern Canada and complements our existing twice-weekly services between Toronto and San Juan,” said Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines at **********. “It also strengthens **********’s Montreal hub, which is playing a significant strategic role in our ongoing global expansion.”

**********’s Montreal capacity is up nearly 20% over the last two years and in the past year alone the carrier has launched or announced 13 new destinations from the city, including Shanghai, Algiers, Lyon, and *********.

The Montreal-San Juan flights are operating with a 146-seat Airbus A320 with 14 Business Class seats and 132 seats in Economy Class.

Flights are timed for connections through **********’s international network and provide for Aeroplan accumulation and redemption and, for eligible customers, priority check-in, Maple Leaf Lounge access in Montreal, priority boarding and other benefits.
