MONTREAL — ********** has updated the list of cities impacted by its goodwill policy for flight changes in light of the *********** outbreak.

In many cases the carrier has extended the original travel date window. ********** has also extended the travel deadline for passengers looking to rebook free of charge.

On March 5 ********** announced a one-time change fee waiver for all destinations, for all published fares, for tickets purchased March 4 – 31,  in an effort to reassure travellers unsure about booking flights amid the *********** outbreak. Passengers are allowed a one-time change to their flight, without incurring a change fee, up to 14 days before travel.

The one-time change fee waiver also applies to Aeroplan Flight Reward bookings. Passengers are asked to contact Aeroplan directly if they choose to make changes to their booking.

The one-time waiver applies to travel within 12 months of the issue date on the original ticket, provided changes are made at least 14 days before the departing flight. Any fare difference will apply.

Previously ********** announced it was waiving change fees for flights to Japan and Iran (IKA), in addition to the list of cities already announced including more than half a dozen gateways in northern Italy, plus Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, ***** and South Korea.

********** reminds customers travelling to, from or via Beijing, Shanghai or ***** also have the option of cancelling their flight for a full ******.

Last month ********** made the move to temporarily suspend its daily nonstop Toronto-Hong Kong flights due to low demand amid the *********** outbreak.

The daily nonstop Vancouver-Hong Kong flights are still operating, and ********** says passengers booked on the Toronto flights can still get to Hong Kong via the Vancouver departures.

********** has also temporarily suspended its flights to Beijing and Shanghai from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
