MONTREAL — Discussions are underway to set up a meeting of representatives of various international organizations and states that are involved in the ******* industry.

A spokeswoman for the International Air Transport Association, which represents air carriers, says a meeting is in the works next week but has not yet been confirmed.

Mona Aubin confirms discussions are being held, with the get-together expected to be officially confirmed Friday.

The meeting would take place after a spate of aviation disasters.
