CHARLOTTE, NC — We’ve heard of snakes on a plane before, even emotional support pigs and turkeys. But bats?
Hold on to your hats because one was recently let loose onboard a Spirit Airlines flight!
On a 6 a.m. flight from Charlotte to Newark earlier this month, a *** appeared in the cabin approximately 30 minutes after departure.
Peter Scattini, a 23-year-old passenger onboard, posted a video of the *** flying down the cabin aisle while frightened passengers ducked and screamed.
me, twice a year: “i’ll never fly spirit again.”

Perhaps if the *** had an emotional support animal of his own it wouldn’t have gotten all skittish to begin with?
In a follow-up tweet, Scattini explained that he had no idea where the *** came from, and that another passenger eventually captured it using a book and a cup before locking it in the restroom for the remainder of the flight.
In all, Scattini told HuffPost that the entire ordeal lasted about five minutes. The crew responded quickly and calmly and, after determining there was no need to stop, the flight continued onto Newark as planned.
The ******* told HuffPost that upon landing animal control officers successfully removed the ***, the aircraft was disinfected and searched as a precaution, and that no one was hurt during the ********.
“It is believed the *** started its journey in Charlotte, flying into an overhead bin while our crews were doing overnight maintenance,” said the *******.
After Scattini’s tweet went viral, he told HuffPost that Spirit offered him a $50 flight voucher.
“Once I expressed displeasure with this, they refunded the cost of the flight,” he told the news outlet.
A free flight and a live animal performance? What a deal!
No word as to where the *** is today, but here’s hoping it caught a flight back home with the turkey.
