MONTREAL — ********** is offering more connectivity in more ways than one, with new flights taking off to Zurich, Paris and Bucharest as well as new satellite connectivity on all international flights.
The new satellite connectivity will debut on **********’s international wide-body 777-300ER aircraft, making it the first Canadian ******* to offer Internet services that enable customers to stream TV shows and movies on their own devices.
“********** customers on international wide-body flights will have access to the fastest internet service available on any Canadian carrier. ********** WiFi will make traveling more enjoyable whether you’re connecting with family and friends, watching a favorite movie or TV program on the Internet, or scrolling through your social media feeds,” says Benjamin Smith, **********’s President, Passenger Airlines.
The speed and reliability of ********** WiFi will also make it a boon for business travellers, he added.
********** Satellite WiFi is now available on the *******’s B777-300ER aircraft and on ********** Rouge’s narrow-body fleet. The entire ********** and ********** Rouge wide-body fleet – including the Boeing 777-200LR, 787-8/9 and Airbus 330 and ********** Rouge Boeing 767-300ER – is scheduled to be equipped with the system by mid-2019.
Customers can choose from a selection of WiFi packages to suit their needs and ********** is offering introductory pricing for the service starting at $5 on the *******’s B777-300ER fleet until Aug. 31. Passengers can see if a flight has WiFi available by an icon displayed at time of booking or, for upcoming flights, by checking out *********.com/wifi.
********** and ********** Express also offer customers WiFi connectivity through a ground-based system provided by Gogo on their narrow-body A319/320/321, Embraer 175/190 and ********** CRJ-900 aircraft within North America.
