NEW JERSEY — Among the many tales of “Stupid people doing stupid things”, a 25-year-old male passenger onboard a United Airlines flight may have just taken the cake.
Troy Fattum, who recently boarded a flight from New Jersey to Tampa, *******, began shouting that he was on the wrong plane after making his way to his seat. Rather than do what most people would do in a situation like this (notify a flight attendant and ask politely to get off the plane), Fattum did the unthinkable – he opened the ********* exit door and slid down the inflatable slide.
Oh no, he didn’t! Oh yes, he did!
His Great Escape caused the flight to be ******* for hours, and led to his ****** for criminal mischief, trespassing and interference with transportation.
But the most outrageous part of this story isn’t his slide to ‘freedom’, or his humiliating ****** on the tarmac. It’s the fact that upon closer inspection of his ticket, ****** determined that Fattum was, in fact, on the right plane.
