PHOENIX – Authorities say an airplane was forced to land at a Phoenix airport after a passenger who had been drinking became unruly.
Phoenix ****** spokesman James Holmes says an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles bound for Miami was diverted to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport late Tuesday, after a confrontation between two passengers.
Holmes says a 28-year-old man travelling with a wedding party had consumed several alcoholic drinks. He then got into an argument with another passenger around 11:30 p.m.
According to ******, the man then refused a flight attendant’s orders.
The plane was forced to land in Phoenix, where the man was removed.
Holmes says because no ******* employees or travellers wanted to press charges, the passenger was released and booked on a later flight.
