A Newport Beach pilot has been arrested and charged with flying an Alaska Airlines *** full of passengers while under the influence of alcohol, reports the Los Angeles Times.

David Hans Arntson, 60, was arrested on Wednesday and appeared in federal court in Los Angeles. He’s scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 10.

According to an affidavit by an investigator with the department of Transportation’s Office of Inspector General, Arntson had a ***** alcohol concentration of 0.134% and 0.142% in random tests conducted 15 minutes apart on June 20, 2014.

Under federal law, commercial ******* pilots are considered intoxicated if their ***** alcohol concentration is 0.10% or greater. The Federal Aviation Administration has a ***** alcohol limit of 0.04%.
