
TORONTO — Approximately 256,000 tourists from around the ***** arrived in ****** in ******** 2013, a 15% increase compared to the same period last year and a new all-time high for tourism to ******.
Much of the growth is due to the arrival of 23% more Canadians and 13% more Americans – for North America is the largest single source of tourism to ******.
“We are thrilled to see the continued increase in tourism from North America to ****** this year, which is a direct result of the Ministry of Tourism’s public relations and marketing efforts around the *****,” said Ami Allon, Consul for Tourism, ****** Government Tourist Office – Canada. “We hope to welcome a new wave of travellers arriving in ****** this month to experience our diverse array of natural, modern and historic attractions and unique events taking place across the country.”
