GRAND **** — The Turks and Caicos Islands is set to lift the last of its ******** entry requirements for travellers.

Effective April 1, 2023, travellers will no longer be required to submit proof of ******** vaccination before arriving in the destination.

The news, which was announced by the Turks and Caicos’ Ministry of Health, comes on the heels of a rapid decrease in ******** cases and zero new ********-related ****** in recent months.

“We are thrilled to announce this new development and to safely welcome visitors back to our beautiful island destination,” said Josephine Connolly, Minister of Tourism for the Turks and Caicos Islands. “Our top priority has always been the health and well-being of our residents and travellers, and we are confident that we can continue to maintain a safe environment without these restrictions.”

Throughout the ********, The Turks and Caicos Islands has been working closely with local and national public health officials to implement stringent health and safety protocols to mitigate the spread of ********. From July 2020 to April 2022, The Ministry of Tourism created an implemented a testing and vaccination campaign that included the development of TCI Assured, a quality assurance portal, to ensure the vaccination of the local population. 

In April 2022, the destination began easing its protocols with the elimination of mandatory pre-arrival ******** testing or proof of travel insurance. It also discontinued its TCI Assured portal and dropped masking mandates in indoor and enclosed spaces.
